blessed be the fruit is a book that explores the ambiguous social role of the female body as a source of life and pleasure, always divided between sacred and profane.
The representation of the female body is directly linked to the societal roles assigned to women. They are often depicted as mythical and contradictory beings: as goddesses and generators of life on one hand, and as erotic objects and symbols of sin on the other. This duality is rooted in the Catholicism, whose influence has undeniably shaped the perception of women in western culture.
The aim is to create a collection that represents the female ideal in all its complexity, exposing its roots and ambiguities through recurring symbols from the Catholic imaginary.
Presented in a hardcover, high vertical format, and utilizing graphic elements reminiscent of sacred scriptures, the collection frames the female body in a provocative way, revealing the contradictions of the “forbidden fruit”.
